A "Work In Progress"

From an idea planted in the western-most end of a rural county along the upper reaches of the San Francisco Bay to a country club with a golfing experience second to none in the Bay Area, the Contra Costa Country Club is a story of vision, determination, discipline, and achievement.  It is, we hope and expect, a story without an end – a “work in progress” – to be picked up and improved upon by succeeding generations of members.

Contra Costa Country Club, set in the shadow of Mt. Diablo, is located right in the heart of the Bay Area.  The championship 18-hole golf course measures 6,550 years and is consistently rated one of the top private courses in Northern California.  This wonderful course was originally established in 1925 and was renovated in 1992 by Robert Muir Graves.  All of the greens were reconstructed with a drought-resistant design.  The course is routed through 145 acres and landscaped with mature native Oak, Eucalyptus and Redwood trees.  The course gives all players a perfect blend of challenges and dramatic views.  In 1996 a newly built clubhouse was constructed with a state-of-the-art banquet facility overlooking our luscious golf course.

Contra Costa Country Club is a private club and membership is limited.  Proprietary members have equity in the assets and property of the Club and enjoy reciprocal privileges at many private golf and country clubs.
